In 1886 Henry Abbott starts to work as a tutor to Sarah, the daughter of Lord and Lady Partridge. Soon, the relationship between teacher and student changes into a sweet and passionate love affair, which, however, has to remain a secret because Sarah is promised to marry somebody else.
